You know those times when you sit down to scrap and nothing is coming to you? You want to be creative and play, but it's just not happening? Well, that's a great time to get out a sketch as inspiration.
A few things to remember when using sketches:
1) make the sketch work for your pictures rather than trying to make your pictures fit the sketch
2) the sketch is a starting place for inspiration and you made end up with something that looks totally different and that's OK!
3) if you find a single page sketch that you like, but you scrap double pagers, then just flip the design and mirror it on the second page!
You might want to check out the From Sketch to Scrapped class that we're running monthly to get a feel for what you can do with a sketch!
This is the sketch for the class later this month thanks to Shawn at
http://www.nutsaboutsketches.blogspot.com/.
Here is a sample I did with it a while back!
If you want to try this class, you'd bring a set of pictures and I'll help you pick your papers that day based on your pictures and then you'll complete you layout right then and there - pictures and all! Basic supplies for the layout will be included and then you can purchase any extras that night that you might want to add to your layout as well. I can help with this too!
