Another Question...

Question: Can we use stitching on our pages?
Answer: You can do the piercing because that falls under tools and you can do pen stitching because you're allowed journaling pens. You can not do traditional stitching by machine or by hand because that would involve adding product (thread or floss).

Layout Challenge Q&A!

Well, we're very excited about the response to the layout challenge and kits are selling fast! Get yours while they last!

We've also had a few questions, so we'll be posting a few questions and answers on the blog here as we get them, so don't be afraid to post on the blog or ask in store!

Question: Can we use rubber stamps?
Answer: No, unless it's words/letters, etc. for your title and/or journaling since the rules state you can use the product of your choice for the title.

Question: Is masking OK?
Answer: Yes, as we said any tools, ink, paint, pens, etc. were fine.

Don't know where to start with all that amazing patterned paper? Then this class is for you! You'll get 2 double page layouts with designs you can use over and over again using some of all that fabulous patterned paper that's out there in combination with some of your basic cardstock as well. You'll be able to play with different ways to use patterns and design. We'll also talk about what you could add in the way of embellishments if you wanted to add to your layouts. All supplies included.

Summer Layout Contest!

We hope you decide to join us and play along in our June Summer Layout Contest. We can't wait to see what everyone creates with their kits!!

Kits are $6 and will be available as of Wednesday, June 3rd!

There are limited quantities! First come, first served!

One per person, so you must pick up your own kit!

Each layout must be an original work - no sketches or scraplifts please.
Layouts will be judged on their aesthetic appearance and creativity.

Winner will receive a $30 Precious Memories Gift Card!

There's also a voucher included in all the kits for $5 off a $50 purchase the day you bring your layout into the store.

The deadline for this is June 30th and your layout must be in the store by close on the 30th. Winners will be announced July 11th.

In the kit, you would find the following:
- one sheet of Prima patterned paper
- two different sheets of October Afternoon patterned paper
- 4 sheets of cardstock ( 2 cream, one green and one blue)
- orange ribbon
- 4 orange gems
- one tag
- one acrylic arrow (covered in blue film which needs to be removed)

- 3 black brads

All of the items in your kit need to be used in some form on your 12 X 12 double-page layout!
Your layout needs to be a summer theme and the word "summer" must be on it somewhere: title, sub-title, journaling, etc.
Please be sure to include your contact information when submitting your layout!

The patterned papers in your kit are all double-sided, so you can choose to use one side or both of a sheet, but you need to use all 3 sheets to some degree.
- tools are fine: die-cut machines, punches, corner rounders, etc
- ink, paint and journaling pens are fine
- computer journaling is fine
- use the adhesive of your choice
- you can use the product of your choice for the title as long as it was purchased at

Additional product not listed above is NOT to be used and layouts using additional product will be disqualified (to make it fair to everyone).

Note - By participating in the contest, you agree to have your layout displayed on the store blog and/or website as well as in the store for 4 weeks after the announcement of the winner. After that time it will be available for pick-up in the store.
